Federer advances, Roddick ousted at Miami tennis:Posted By: Martha Buffett MIAMI (AFP) - Spain's David Ferrer ousted fourth seed Andy Roddick and Russia's Svetlana Kuznetsova shocked women's world number one Amelie Mauresmo here Thursday in upsets at a WTA and ATP hardcourt tournament.Ferrer, seeded 11th, dumped US veteran Roddick 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 to book a semi-final date against Swiss world number one Roger Federer who beat US ninth seed James Blake 7-6 (7/2), 6-4 in the evening match. Roddick edged Ferrer in a third-set tie-breaker last year at an ATP Masters Series event in Paris in their only prior match. Kuznetsova, 20, stunned French top seed Mauresmo 6-1, 6-4 to reach the final of the 6.9 million-dollar event, the 14th-ranked Russian to face either France's Tatiana Golovin or Russian fourth seed Maria Sharapova for the crown. Kuznetsova, the 2004 US Open champion, dominated Mauresmo from the start to reach her first final of the season. She has lost their first four meetings before beating Mauresmo 7-6 (13/11), 6-4 in a Dubai quarter-final last month. Federer defeated Blake in the Indian Wells final earlier this month to capture his seventh consecutive title on US soil, improving to 3-0 lifetime against Blake.
